The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and managing the organization’s data architecture to ensure data is accurate, accessible, secure, and aligned with business objectives. This role leads data warehousing initiatives, integrating business intelligence tools and strategies to support process optimization and data-driven decision-making. The position involves creating data models, defining data standards, implementing best practices for data integration, and leveraging advanced analytics and visualization tools for strategic insights. The Data Engineer is responsible for advanced data management, analysis, and reporting to support IS - Development processes. This role ensures data integrity, optimizes data workflows, and enhances reporting capabilities through expert use of SQL and other analytical tools. The analyst will lead efforts in data validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of data systems and documentation.
• Data Engineering & Modeling: Develop and maintain enterprise-level data structures, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
• Data Strategy & Governance: Define and implement data strategies, standards, and governance frameworks to ensure quality, security, and compliance.
• Integration & ETL: Design, implement and oversee data integration processes, including ETL queries and workflows, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Data Warehousing: Design, construct, and maintain data warehouses to support IS-Development process data optimization, analytics and reporting.
• Analytics & BI Development:
o Build and deploy dashboards and reports using SQL and Power BI.
o Conduct advanced analytics, including regression analysis and simulations, to drive strategic decisions.
• Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership to promote data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies for data management, integration and analytics.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Data Reporting and Visualization:
o Identify and develop key performance indicators and ensure data accuracy, consistent monitoring and reporting.
o Conduct regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis using methods including linear regression and data visualization tools to derive insights and drive strategic decision making.
o Design, develop, and deploy business analytics dashboards using SQL and Power BI to drive strategic decision making around EaaS development process.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
• 5+ years in data engineering, database design, or related roles.
• Proven experience in delivering Business Intelligence solutions using Excel & Power BI.
• Expertise in Azure or Fabric Data Factory and/or Spark.
• Strong experience with SQL Server and Fabric OneLake .Familiarity with the AZURE cloud platform.
• Experience managing SharePoint sites and libraries, organizing content with metadata and version control, and building automated workflows with Power Automate.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
• Excellent communication and project management skills; ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Data Engineering Certifications (i.e. Azure Data Engineer Associate)
