Overview

***This position will be in-office and can report to any current ENFRA ES Delivery office location: Little Rock, Fayetteville, St. Louis, Birmingham, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Nashville, Tucson, Tempe, Salt Lake City, Houston, Charlotte or Dallas. 

 

The Commissioning Vice President effectively leads, delegates, and supports the development of best practices, procedures, and systems to support a continuously improving and profitable commissioning division. Specific responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the alignment of internal operational aspects of successful project delivery.
  • Partner with key accounting leadership to monitor financial aspects of business operations.
  • Ensure quality control for commissioning approach and deliverables.
  • Coordinate the development of efficient organizational structure, including the development of knowledge, skills and abilities; and establishes a succession plan to facilitate a steady and efficient organizational growth and efficiency.
  • Focus on driving consistent communication across the organization, in coordination with the commissioning, engineering and construction leaders.
  • Mentor Commissioning Directors and Project Managers in formulating effective business plans, financial and project analytics.
  • Establish budget controls; coordinate project and process changes to maintain and improve cost/benefit ratio.
  • Strengthen client relationships by driving day-to-day business operations.
  • Conduct contract negotiation, management, and project interviews.
  • Responsible for personnel - oversee workload forecasting, staffing, and performance management.
  • Development and execution of commissioning initiatives and opportunities identified during strategic planning and alignment meetings.
  • Serve as liaison with other internal leadership with respect to global account management, national and global marketing and communications, and internal communications.
  • Drive the identification and development of new business opportunities in the commissioning market, including strategy for positioning, proposing, and presenting business development campaigns.

Qualifications

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP Certification.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience with building construction preferred, especially mechanical, electrical, plumbing, automatic temperature control systems, and/or testing, adjusting, and balancing.
  • Proficient in using software to accomplish work tasks such as Microsoft Word, Excel and online commissioning software such as CxAlloy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Travel Requirements

  • 25-40% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical Activities

  • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles
  • Climbing stairs.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools

Environmental Conditions

  • Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
  • Noisy environment

Physical Demands

  • Medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds
