Overview

The MBCx Site Build Analyst I supports Engineers and Analysts to administer programs meant to optimize energy usage across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Engineers and Analysts in the design and execution of energy analysis.
  • Supports the Engineers and Analysts in reviewing building information and historical records to understand the facilities, systems, machinery, equipment, policies, or practices and determine energy/utility usage with the goal of reducing energy consumption.
  • Understands heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) terminology including equipment and sensor/command types.
  • Performs data mapping and integration of building automation systems (BAS) and energy analysis software so that the Engineers and Analysts can monitor HVAC equipment operation and identify energy optimization opportunities.
  • Understands database structures and database data types including string, Boolean, and multistate points. Performs pre-determined database queries.
  • Follows outlined procedures and steps and makes improvements and suggestions when appropriate.
  • Collaborates with subject matter expects (SME) to troubleshoot and resolve database related problems.
  • Assists with the preparation of reports for project stakeholders summarizing all discoveries.
  • Takes on special projects in pursuit of continual process improvement and initiatives.
  • Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to subject matter experts (SME).
  • Performs work under direct supervision.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • 4-year degree qualification or equivalent experience requirement
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Problem/situation analysis.
  • Conceptual thinking skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • 4-year degree qualification or equivalent experience requirement in a technical field.
  • Familiarity with database structure and queries.
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems.

Travel Requirements

  • 10% of the time will be spent traveling to project sites/office locations.

Physical Activities

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Climbing stairs.

Environmental Conditions

  • Quiet environment

Physical Demands

  • Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds
