Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst in our IT department, you will serve as a key liaison between construction operations, project management teams, and technology stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze, optimize, and support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of construction technology platforms, most notably Procore. You will work closely with field teams, project managers, and IT leadership to ensure that digital solutions align with business goals, improve operational efficiency, and support project delivery excellence.

 

This role requires deep understanding of construction workflows, strong analytical and communication skills, and hands-on experience with construction management platforms. You will play a critical role in driving digital transformation across the organization by ensuring that tools like Procore are effectively configured, adopted, and continuously improved.

Responsibilities

Preconstruction Support


• Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams to support digital workflows for bid management, including bid package distribution, subcontractor response tracking, and coverage analysis.
• Assist in the configuration and enhancement of estimating tools and quantity takeoff processes within Procore or integrated platforms.
• Support the evaluation and onboarding of subcontractors and vendors through digital prequalification workflows.
Project Execution Enablement
• Facilitate the implementation and optimization of Procore modules that support project management activities such as RFIs, submittals, drawing management, and document control.
• Analyze and improve field productivity tracking processes, including labor hours, crew management, and timecard workflows.
• Support quality and safety initiatives by configuring and maintaining inspection templates, incident tracking, and daily log reporting.
• Collaborate with project teams to streamline coordination workflows, including issue tracking, BIM model management, and clash detection processes.


Construction Financial Management


• Partner with project controls and finance teams to support budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting processes within Procore.
• Configure and maintain workflows for managing commitments, prime contracts, change events, and change orders.
• Assist in streamlining subcontractor invoicing and payment processes through Procore’s financial tools.
• Provide limited support for ERP integration touchpoints related to budget synchronization, invoice approvals, and procurement visibility.


Resource and Equipment Management


• Support the implementation of tools for labor and equipment planning, scheduling, and allocation.
• Assist in tracking equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance records within Procore or integrated systems.
• Collaboration and Communication
• Enable real-time collaboration by ensuring project teams have access to current data, documents, and communications within Procore.
• Support centralized document management practices, including version control, permissions, and audit trails.
• Facilitate digital meeting management, including agenda creation, minutes tracking, and action item follow-up.


Reporting and Analytics


• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports within Procore to provide insights into project performance, compliance, and financial health.
• Analyze system usage and data trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased adoption.
• Workflow Automation and Governance
• Design and implement custom workflows to automate approval processes for RFIs, submittals, invoices, and contracts.
• Ensure role-based routing and notification logic is aligned with organizational policies and project structures.
• Promote data governance by ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity across Procore modules.


Platform Optimization and Support


• Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Stay current on Procore product updates and construction technology trends to recommend enhancements and new capabilities.
• Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to ensure successful adoption and continuous improvement of Procore across the organization.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT or construction technology environment.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Procore or similar construction management platforms.
• Strong understanding of construction project lifecycle processes, including preconstruction, project execution, and financial controls.
• Experience configuring and supporting Procore modules such as RFIs, Submittals, Drawings, Daily Logs, Budget, and Invoicing.
• Proven ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
• Familiarity with construction financial workflows, including budgeting, forecasting, change management, and subcontractor invoicing.
• Experience supporting or collaborating on integrations between construction platforms and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle JDE E1 or World).
• Proficiency in process mapping, gap analysis, and workflow optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Procore Analytics, or similar). Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
