Overview

The Lead Commodity Energy Market Analyst works directly with project development leadership to identify and analyze strategic energy market opportunities for our EaaS projects. The Lead Commodity Energy Market Analyst will directly engage in the EaaS project development process with heightened emphasis on the incorporation of de-regulated energy market programs and demand management strategies into the development process. They will also assist leadership in the development of models, tools, and processes to streamline project analysis.

Responsibilities

*This role is a remote based position with flexibility to report to an ENFRA office location.  

  • Assist with the incorporation of energy supply-side solutions (i.e. demand management, demand response, dynamic pricing and forecasting of revenue models through energy market participation) into EaaS projects.
  • Design and execution of supply-side energy models for a diverse set of resources, which may include solar panels, battery storage, electric vehicle charging stations, generation resources, and building automation systems.
  • Energy market analysis and forecasting.
  • Closely monitor and provide assessment on regulated and deregulated market designs for demand management programs.
  • Research local, state, and federal environmental policies within the development process.
  • Assist with utility rate advocacy for internal company projects and customer offerings.
  • Performs the assigned duties with minimum supervision, while working in a team problem-solving environment.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, Business, Economics or related discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience in energy or related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment and across corporate functional teams.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in de-regulated electricity markets

Travel Requirements

  • 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Quiet environment.

Pay Range

USD $88,380.00 - USD $117,970.00 /Yr.
