Overview

The Structural Designer II performs design activities for assigned projects under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Structural Engineer (LPSE). Also assists the project team in the production of projects that are on time, within budget and of the utmost quality.

Responsibilities

  • Producing construction documents for assigned projects.
  • Generates basic structural details and sections.
  • Generates foundation plan and framing plan.
  • Upholds TME's owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values.
  • Other duties as assigned by Company Leadership.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • 2-year Technical Degree or Associates Degree in Engineering Related Field
  • 2-4 years of structural design or drafting experience
  • 2-4 years' experience with AutoDesk Revit BIM Software
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Vision and Creativity
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Possess solid working knowledge of the subject matter
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Experience with healthcare, high education, and/or central plant infrastructure projects.

Travel Requirements

  • 5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Climbing stairs.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Quiet environment.
  • Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Pay Range

USD $27.92 - USD $37.29 /Hr.
